- July 4, 2024: Our lab's first official publication, "Timing decisions as the next frontier for collective intelligence," is now available online at Trends in Ecology & Evolution and is open access!
- July 2, 2024: Our proposal submitted to the Healey Research Grant program (an internal UMass Boston grant program), titled "Heterogeneous collectives -- foraging decisions of mixed species groups of two intertidal killifish (Fundulus heteroclitus and Fundulus diaphanus) native to North America" and led by postdoc Fritz Francisco, has been funded! - June 24, 2024: Tony Thang has successfully presented a poster of his honors senior thesis, "The effect of social cues on circadian rhythms in fish," to his department and his college, submitted his written thesis, and graduated from UMass Boston with a BS degree in biology with honors. - May 27-30, 2024: Our lab spent three days on Cape Cod for our first lab retreat, centered around the theme of Creativity!
